The classifieds ask for bilingual people for jobs, we make our kids take a foreign language, but we don't make people who want a green card know even rudimentary English? We spend tons of money in our schools to hire teachers to teach ESL because there are so many kids who can't speak English . What other country accommodates this kind of situation?
