Some stories, such as my own, have a length bordering the utmost extremes. I DO think, however, that a story that hasn't updated for a period of time (say, three months) should be reprimanded in some way. Deletion from the site is an option, methinks, or perhaps simply not bumping the story to the front page if it ever DOES complete itself.

Exactly, so that I can resume how I used to exploit Google Incognito and rate stories an infinite amount of times!

The reason that I asked the system to be removed is BECAUSE of that exploit, and if it still works, I'm spreading the news like wildfire.
