Love the options for this one. Boat hull breakfast bar/island would be really cool, something you don't see everywhere - bring in some personality and charm.

Herb gardens are my favorite thing to put in bay windows.

Sad to see my favorite options aren't winning. Most of the "ordinary" things are in agreement with my vote, but these two got me excited, and I'm sad that they aren't in the lead :(

Gotta see if I can get my brother to DVR this for me.... and I need to get cable. I've missed so much the past few years... I've tried to keep up online, though, but it would be really nice to see the shows when they air instead of having to wait until they're available online :(

Love the way the cabin came out, and the view from the lot is spectacular.

Holy Buckets, this property is gorgeous!

Some of the links don't seem to be working, not sure if it's the old version browser that I'm on (work computer, I can't do the upgrades without authorization). I'm gonna try from my phone, and maybe another computer if I can, and see if that helps. I'm not sure if my votes got tallied, it doesn't change after I hit the "vote" button. Also the slideshow of other homes that were the inspiration for this year's design won't load.

Anyone else have this problem? Or is it me?

My house was almost that exact same shade of yellow/cream when I bought it, and it looked dingy and depressing. I like the blue, but agree it is dark. So green gets my vote by default.

The vote is for the siding color only, it will not change the floor plan. Also, the drawings are of the same house, just from different sides, and may not be exactly the same as the finished plans in any case.

Hello, all. I'm kinda late to the party... I haven't read through all of the comments, but I did scan the main blog entries, checked out the photos and plans, and watched the video clip. It's a charming little house, I love the "widow's walk" and the breakfast nook (although I fear that probably won't stay).

The lot is also lovely.

Has anyone heard WHY, exactly, this house was selected, and is being moved?
Do we have a backstory on the selection process or history of the house that I missed?

I have been away from the blog for a bit (right about when they took the cabin cam down), but I have now been through several of the slideshows (still have more to go), but I have to say DIY and Blog Cabin crews, you have outdone yourselves this year. Absolutely gorgeous, with a good balance of modern functionality and historic charm. Whoever wins this cabin will be very fortunate, indeed.

Darn it! Been working the last few days, and I missed all the activity, and now the cam is down :(
Oh, well, at least I got to see a panorama shot with all kinds of yardwork done. It all looks lovely, and I'm glad that so much of it is still left in a natural state.

Someone will be very lucky to get this property.

Wow, what a difference a day (or two) makes.... Now, with the handrails on the steps, as well as the top rails on the first floor porch to go along with the deck rail on the second story, the whole thing seems a bit more cohesive.... I'm kinda diggin' it. Love the chairs and the pergola, too. Can hardly wait to see what comes next :)
