Two comments here First has anyone noticed that Pres Bush got hell for the late reaction to Katrina. I now hear that Obama didnt send FEMA into Fargo until last friday which was almost a week after the emergency began. Wheres the outrage on this subject.

Second is something that happened today Pres Obama fired the CEO of GM and ordered them to reorganize and ordered Chrysler to sell itself to Fiat. So his response to losing American jobs is to force American companies to sell to overseas companies??? WHY not just let the company declare voluntary bankruptcy so they can rehash all their contracts and remain in American hands. At least then some employees keep their jobs instead of Fiat closing all the US plants and making the vehicles overseas for less money. Has this guy lost his mind??? how does this help?

unfortunately for a constitutional amendment it takes 2/3 of the congress to vote for it. the majority of dems will not support an amendment of this nature

Their pay should not be voted by the entire county either. Each group of people that a congressman represents should vote to increase their pay by a maximum of 4% or reduce it by the same amount each year. The Civil service is implementing a pay system like this so the Congress who are Civil Servants should fall under it. The Tax bubble they enjoy protecting much of the income they receive should be removed forcing them to pay the same tax rates as everyone else (flat rate).

I think that Bill O'Reilly said it best last night after Obama made his talking points and avoided every question that was asked. He knows that very few people are going to accept Tax cheat Geitner's plan to fix the mortgage problem and when the banks get worse he can say he tried everything but it didnt work so he HAD to take over the banks. Just look yesterday they asked for permission to take over companies that have not taken federal money but they see as a threat to the economy of the country. This would include the car companies because they could cause financial meltdown. (YEAH RIGHT)

That just shows how little this administration is in touch with reality. A contingency is defined as

1. An event that may occur but that is not likely or intended; a possibility.
2. A possibility that must be prepared for; a future emergency.

The War on terror is neither of these things it is not unlikely nor is it a future emergency it is a current emergency!

An overseas contingency operation would be something like Korea. The Soldiers are there just in case something happens and there is a flare up in that war. Yes we are still at war with North Korea it has just been in an armistice (cease fire) for the last 50 years.

I used to do a bit of website maintanance when I was in the army. If there is any way I might be able to help let me know. I also have a good friend that follows this cause that is currently doing the job I was doing in the army so he might be willing to help as well.

I am getting so upset over this I am reconsidering running for office here. My wife does not like the public life so does not want me to do it but I am so frustrated with the way things are going I feel it is my duty to do something to change things even if only at the local level.

That is why it is imperative that we do everything in our power to tell them that their agenda is not acceptable. Like I said before there are other things we can and need to do. The more we do the more we stop.
