Wait a minute. The Continental Congress may not be the bloated tax-guzzler that it is today but that does not make it immune to criticism. The Congress that Washington dealt with wanted a swift end to the war by means of a, "general action", which at the time meant a large epic battle. Washington did not have the man power, or supplies to win such a battle. So he spent the next seven years striking at the British with the intent of either winning the battle, or making it so difficult for the British to win that it would feel like losing. Washington aimed to chip away at the British and weaken their will.

Americans have put to much stock in the words of politicians and filmmakers when it comes to the nature of war. Politicians shouldn't dictate the manner in which war is fought because they either want a war to end swiftly when it's impossible to do so, or they manipulate the war for their own purposes.

How can Radcliffe know about Obama's stance on Gay Marriage? Just because Obama is a democrat that does not automatically make him pro-Gay Marriage. This is a stereotype and it's offensive. This is the same mindset that created the Racist Republican/Pro-Black Democrat illusion.

If this is how Radcliffe is going to act from know on than his career is pretty much over. Oh, he'll have some fans but he'll never be able to pull a crowd like when he was staring in Harry Potter. This happened to many Hollywood stars such as George Clooney except Clooney was already a big star when he opened his mouth and began talking politics. Radcliffe does not have the star power that the actors of old did he gained notoriety because of a beloved bookseries turned into a movie franchise.

If Hollywood is beyond saving than I would simply let it go down it's path of self-destruction. Hollywood's focusing on not offending the Chinese. As a result there is a vacuum in the American market that these smaller studios can fill. The fact that these Independent studios are not part of the Hollywood system puts them in a prime position to overtake Tinsel Town in the American Entertainment Market. Hollywood already ignores the possibility that THEY are the cause of their financial woes and not Redbox, Netflix, or piracy. So it's not much a stretch to consider that Hollywood would ignore the rise of the Independent Studio until it's to late.

The dirty little secret about Hollywood blockbusters is that Hollywood isn't needed to produce them.

Now if Hollywood continues down this road, someday in the future they will look at America and realize that they no longer have a hold in it's Entertainment market. The Independent Studios have built themselves it recognizable icons in Hollywood's absence. Stars with class have risen from these Indie Studios to replace the old degrading-insulting-hate-America stars from Hollywood. When that happens Hollywood will react by ridiculing these Indie studios and their stars. They'll gin up the hate machine calling these Independents Anti-American and claim that they have no idea what American's really like. The new stars will receive treatment akin to the way NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has received from the media (sans the stance on Christianity unless that is applicable). Except this will serve to increase the dislike average American's have toward Hollywood and increase the profit of the Independent studios. Hollywood will still have fans of course, but they will be a small number of Americans. This is turn will sound the death null for the once mighty Hollywood industry.

Stripped of their ideology Hollywood is capable of chasing the money like any smart business.

Maybe your right. The trailer does remind of the Stooges I saw as a child and the actors look similar. Still Hollywood is always trying to recapture the magic of the past instead of trying to create the magic of tomorrow.

Comic book writers should really stay away from using real world conflicts in their work unless their well read in the events. In Alan Moore's case he clearly knows little about the Vietnam War. America's leaders hadn't learned from the mistakes made in Korea because they made the same error of judgement with Vietnam. Korea turned out to be a success but Vietnam wasn't. Even if America had a superhuman like Dr. Manhattan by the time frame in the comic the American people were sick of the Vietnam war, Richard Nixon pushed his Victimization idea in order to get America out of Nam while saving face.

Also Nixon wining four terms in office is far fetched. However, he did win his second term in the Watchman universe solely because he had the Comedian kill Woodrow and Bernstein before they could expose Watergate (explained in the Watchmen: The End is Nigh, video game that came out at the time of movie and acts as a prequel).
