You make comments about a game that are blatantly wrong, showing you have almost no concept of the thing you are arguing against. So when people show how you're being a putz, somehow they're wrong??

You straight up make asshole, trolling comments like "Anyone who likes Warmachine is a terrible person", and when people call you out for saying such inflammatory things while defending themselves after being called a TERRIBLE PERSON (you ass).....they're wrong for doing so???

@ VT2 Again you demonstrate your lack of understanding of the game. Seems like you want to put as little thought as possible into your wargaming. Gotcha. Might I suggest Heroclix? Or bashing action figures together and making sweet "pew pew" noises?

My example is showing how you can get a "Draigo" type character in Warmachine. i.e; Very hard to kill and still quite badass. Nothing you said disputes that so I assume you're trolling.

Warmachine in certain instances does have mechanics that allow a caster to become nigh invulnerable killing machines. It just takes more thought and planning normally than "I have a Stormshield"...

Take the classic example. The Butcher of Khardov. Khador Warcaster. Complete nutcase. Named his axe Lola.

He can cast Iron Flesh on himself, making his defense 17. For the uninitiated that makes him very difficult to hit.

He can also camp his remaining focus, bringing his armor to a whopping 22. For the uninitiated, even if you do manage to hit him, you're gonna have a hell of a time actually damaging him with his armor so high. With 20 damage boxes (hit points basically) he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Couple this with him being a death machine with an insane MAT and Weapon Master, he can pretty much take on anything one on one and make it dead. Very dead.

There's (merely one example of) your uber caster hero dude. If that's the playstyle you're looking for, the game has options to facilitate that.

If you actually read the comments, very few people have actually defended Warmachine. Most comments completely defend your right to this opinion. The thing people are complaining about is how shitty and embarrassing this article is. Any valid points you make (and there are one or two) are completely drowned out by nonsensical ravings. You come off as a angry asshole forum troll rather than a respected article writer.

And you continue to do so in your response to me. It's not what you're saying. It's the immature, doucheturd way you're saying it that most people have a problem with. That, and the fact that you obviously know as much about Warmachine as I know about Quantum Mechanics is painfully obvious too.

A) This article makes it painfully obvious you've never really given Warmahordes a fair shake. Either that or you sucked at it (can't spam Razorbacks and call it "tactics" in Warmahordes) and then rage quit. The generalities you state here are so ignorant that anyone who's ever really played Warhahordes can dismiss this entire article as the ravings of an uninformed neckbeard.

B ) I can understand being a GW fanboy and constantly hearing PP fanboys putting down the company you are loyal to can get a bit grating, but instead of maturely explaining why you still enjoy GW, you nerdrage vomited nonsense for 2 paragraphs and came off like an angry 13 year old.

But you have to admit, other than models and lore, GW doesn't have much to be loyal too anymore these days. People can only be treated like walking piggy banks for so long.

You're 100% entitled to your opinion. Personally I love WarmaHordes and think it's a fantastic game system. There are more tactical options with an army consisting of as little as 3 models than there is in a 40k army that can be 50 models or more. Don't dismiss the fluff either. The Iron Kingdoms setting isn't as detailed as the history of 40k but it's still full of great character driven stories with an ongoing narrative. It can be difficult to get into the lore though, with so much of it spread out between so many different sources, many of which are out of print.

I still love 40k and play that regularly as well. Been playing it going on 13 years and I'm not quitting anytime soon.

Because...and brace yourself here.....It's ok to like multiple game systems. Shocking I know. All the same, I'm fully aware that WarmaHordes isn't for everyone. Maybe if you presented your argument like an adult with actual thought out points people wouldn't be bashing you so hard. Next time, take a deep breath and calm down before you make yourself look the fool on the internet.

I have no problem with it. Of course I prefer painted models and I strive to have fully painted armies, but other than aesthetics, its make no difference. As long as I know what everything is and who has what, I'm good to go.
