No. They covered this all the way back in Magic Duel, but people seem to forget it. It's explicitly stated that most Unicorns only have a small amount of magic revolving around their particular talent. Of course, there's a few magic-talented Unicorns, which makes them more powerful at it. This is no different in Earth ponies or Pegasi. Rainbow Dash has a talent for controlling the weather, I believe, which is what the Pegasi already profess at. Thus, she's a very gifted fligher. Same for Applejack, who has a talent for harvesting apples, whereas Earth ponies are meant to tend to crops. Therefore, she's a very valuable worker on her farm. Not every Unicorn is going to have these Super-Saiyan abilities that Twilight or Starlight have, which, by the way, they studied and honed their powers for years before being successful at it, which applies to almost every talent.

I love Sunny, and as much as I would like for her to be in the main series, it wouldn't fit her character to do so. Her friends are in Human Equestria, not Pony Equestria. She could easily come back for an episode or two to right her old wrongs, but not to stay.

I mean, the main series has 5 whole seasons and a 6th in the works. Equestria Girls is it's own universe, there's a very large amount we probably haven't discovered about it.

Goodness. Already focusing on the 6th before the 4th even releases and the 5th get's no word. XD
Oh well, I'm certainly happy. I was personally hoping they'd do a spin-off TV series for Equestria Girls so that we won't have to wait a whole year for each installment.

True true. I like Marble Pie, but she's far from best new pony.

And in the end, Moondancer won, she we can relish in both losing. Though I like Starlight, Moondancer, and Coloratura so it didn't really matter too much to me in the end.
