On one hand, I picked my car on the irrational virtue of preferring how it drives. On the other, there was virtually no cost or penalty over some of my other choices, and I'm not bothered by it looking like the cheapskate model.

I'm not bothered by logic, I just don't care for the circumstances that require that logic.

Maybe there's something regional about it, maybe it's our legally mandated Daytime Running Lights, but there was a time when Every.Single.MkIV on the road had one headlight burned out - Beetles, Golfs,Jettas, all of them.

Volvo traditionally built safe, solid, conservative cars. Mercedes-Benz traditionally built safe, solid, conservative cars. Trying to go upmarket hasn't worked for Volvo. North America is still struggling with the idea of affordable Benzes. I see plausible synergy?

On that note, Porsche would vaguely count too, right? I mean, at some point, the numbers vaguely refer to engineering projects as well, sort of, at least until they give up, or Peugeot interferes.

Not a lot of buttons, so not too hard to figure them all out. Granted, I don't use the FLDR or Search or whatever buttons all that much, my radio usage amounts to my presets and whatever podcasts I have playing off my work phone.
