In response to you referencing the prevalence., First, my apologies on the recent tragedy.
One thing that I have learned is that when something so highly coveted is taken away, the behavior does not change, but the desire to obtain that thing becomes even greater. If you reduced the amount of guns, then the ones that are left are now a means to commit more crime to get. Much like reducing alcohol will not affect alcoholism, but now someone will bonk me on the head for my beer. Maybe to rudimentary...
You are merely treating the symptom, not the root cause. What the question is, is how are these guns getting into their hands. It is a tough question, but is the first step to understanding how to solve this problem.

I have no doubt that is going on. Why wouldn't it? I wonder if Phillip Morris and the other big Tobacco companies could use thier lobbying power, which is deep and substantial, to help push that through
congress for at least at least a decriminalzation. .
