Last time I checked the hero of "Avatar" was a Marine.

It also seems to me that the film advocates extreme violence in defense of your home and property. What if a bunch of Saudi scumbags came to Middle America looking oil? How would we react?

The credibility here takes a big hit a film can't even be criticized correctly.

CB750, right above, has correctly assessed "Avatar."

I bought the same shirt.

It's awesome to run in, because you have to push yourself when your representing CM Punk — there's no way the Second City Savior would ever let anyone see him sweat!

I'd like to see the rest of that, rather than just 20 seconds of it. I'm far from a Romney supporter, but I'll hold my nose and vote for him just to get Obama out of office. Romney may not be the greatest candidate out there, and we may not restore America in its founding principles, but people are forgetting how dangerous this villain Obama truly is.

That being said, in this 20 seconds, Romney may not exactly be advocating a progressive income tax system here, because the top earners will naturally pay more taxes in a fair/flat structure.

Here, he could be talking about making sure loopholes are eliminated, so the middle class doesn't get shafted — like Obama has done for the past three years.

I think it's a much greater leap to assume Romney is taking an OWS line than to think he's simply advocating a simpler tax code.

Look, I'm all for eliminating the income tax completely, but the politicians will never let that slip from their grip. Until then, we have to make sure loopholes are at least eliminated, and that everything gets simplified.

The real tragedy here is that there were real criticisms of George W. Bush, the war in Iraq, and the Patriot Act, but Moore's film made a mockery of dissent. Anyone who had legitimate concerns just got lumped in with the lunatic left.

Perhaps a lot of lives could've been saved if truth was served a little more.

There's a small number of haters, who don't like this film, and want to make sure EVERYBODY else knows it.

I really liked this picture — it was a blast.

Plus, I think it's a good libertarian film: The evil of the film is clearly the marriage between government and corporations, and then consequently the military industrial complex.

... oh, and it has Qui-Gon Jinn AND Darth Maul — who is one of the greatest screen villains ever.

Secession is beautiful — and our right.

That was an incredible book. Leave it to an old man like Buchanan to openly question such norms. It's really an thought-provoking work.

Good call

This is easily one of the worst articles this site has ever ran. I disagree with everything in it, but there's no substance in it at all — it reads like a blogger's rant. But since that's pretty much the MO of the "editor in chief" here, it's not hard to see that the direction of this site reflects that type of vapid, directionless nonsense.

BigHollywood: Get an idea — define a narrative here, and then get after it.
