Next, we have decided that (for the good of the farm) we will now support exchanges with farmers. Though we will have to accept some luxury items from them, these will be carefully stored in the white barn., so that they will not corrupt anyone, and they can be exchanged later for veterinary practices to the babies.
Finally, the porcine council has decreed that anyone who does not agree with the wisdom of our decisions will be derided, insulted and turned over to the Department of Napoleonic Sentries (we'll lose the hounds).

[The bull-horn comes alive and blares throughout the farm.]
It has come to the attention of my porcine comrades that drink mixture is currently in excess, and some have been
throwing it in the water without regard for those of us who can not stand it. This is an incredibly rude
practice, and we know that it is instigated by those comfortable Strigiformes (owls) who simply hate pigs
without provocation. We have considered the position of these worn-nibblers and decided that they will have to contribute more. Then, they might appreciate the needs of others that the porcine are protecting.

The Owl Answers: Weekly report
Unnoticed in her truest form,
she leans upon her God.
The shining bride of Israel
bows with a tired nod.
Not seeing what they ruin,
her gown 's been splashed with mud.
Her shining crown is tarnished.
Her stockings streaked with blood.
The pain her people bring her,
by twisting from her creeds,
is echoed in hypocrisy
that argues for misdeeds.
Life and Liberty, currently,
are sacrificed for greed,
and power steals the hunt for joy
with gloved, anonymous speed.
The virtuous that made her strong
are driven down with need.
They trample on the human truth,
and fail to even heed
the cries of those who once agreed
to strengthen and exceed
the sum of all that came before (democracies precede).
She trembles as they twist her words,
and sweep the vision from above.
The glowing city on the hill
weeps quietly for her true love.

P.S. Why do I always have to manually enter this web address? If I use any of my links, the error message "This page no longer exists" pops up.

Also, my power went out at 5:50 today (again) so, I was unable to get to the on-line chat. My comment and question today would have been: first, we are preaching to the choir. How do we best get this information out to the non-Fox citizens?

Barnyard Wisdom: an introduction.
Being a teacher and a writer, I have only my thoughts to offer in hopes that they will inspire or comfort others. These will be broken into 3 parts to meet the space requirement on this page. First I offer this introduction. Next, I will repeat my post from last week, and finally, I offer my thoughts from this week.

The owl’s fable: a weekly report.
The cows have no more milk, and the bees have no more honey. The flowers and the hormones
were collected and sold. And now that there is not enough, we hear that we are better-off. The
greedy cows and bees had made too much, and too many of us were growing fat.
We are also too indulgent and must be persuaded to reduce or give-up these luxuries. But the
takers use the money from the cows and bees to pay for weekly parties.
They use the seeds from our food and the roof from our barn, and they tell us that the farm is
over populated. So for the good of all, they sell our eggs. This pays for the needs of many
(especially, their expensive clothes, drinks, and travel).
We are told to “wait and see. All will be well” as they party on the luxuries for which we pay.
They sell our children to create health and beauty aids, and they use more fuel than all of us.
Who has to cry aloud before you hear?
The pigs have taken over the farm. Pass it on.

Thank you for creating this opportunity. People do feel disconnected at times. However, I have lived by my principles all my life, and I will continue to do this, but in all honesty, I am tired. I am deadly tired of "fighting the good fight" only to be thwarted. Is there really a chance?
M.E.
P.S. Did you know that they no longer teach "Animal Farm" in high school? I just found out about this.
