Thanks! Just upgraded from (dv) 3.0 to (dv) 3.5 on MediaTemple. Been looking around for help getting started with Subversion and this is perfect.

note: missing an 'e' in "vi /var/svn/reponame/conf/svnserv.conf"
...the file is svnserve.conf
