Overall happy for the weekend to be here. I am going to sleep soon.

One of the things I do well is network for info. Apparently, I was on the manager's shit list for a while because I wasn't a very good flunky. I did my job and made her look good, but apparently I stoked her insecurities.

The one that seemed to bother her the most is how I handled senior management and their apparent praise (which I never heard till my source told me.)

Also found out the director of one engineering group is a buddy of hers which explained her meteoric rise. It seems I have a habit of pissing off the wrong people. It also explains why I won't ever get a position let alone an interview there...

I can not apply to the other internal engineering group because I was a lot of an asshole in the aftermath of an interview with the director of that group. It seems I was set up to be the goat candidate (ie: the no hoper internal candidate who is given an interview to show HR that they tried to find someone and couldn't so they could hire their buddy instead) and I turned out not to be one. My interview only lasted 15 minutes when the director suddenly stopped me half way through my spiel and ushered me out the door. I was really pissed about that as I spent two days preparing for it. The director mentioned that I was really really smart (and not in a good way.) I told him that "if you're going to do that then don't waste my time" mixed with a "fuck you" glare.

My sister gave me shit afterwards for letting my temper get the better of me. She's right.

I must be the biggest fucking idiot in the world. All I want to do is work as an engineer and I piss off the folks who might help me (but I am sure they wouldn't help even if I wasn't an ass.)
