No, you're right, I looked it up yesterday. Oh well.
Also, Fun Home is closing on Broadway on Sept. 10th. Disappointing but over 500 performances is nothing to sneeze at for a lesbian coming-of-age musical.
I know this a week later, but you said you wanted to hear results. I told my college roommate I found her husband's name. They looked into it and apparently found they had over $300! And she was having a really bad day prior to this, so yay!
OMG, I think I need to make a trip! I'm still upset that I didn't get to see her in Allegiance last year (also heard that the book and score wasn't that good, which is super disappointing b/c it had such promise).
I stand with you in solidarity on the very important Pete's Dragon issue.
Someone I know posted that meme, but I responded that it was the third time that I saw someone on my feed post about Chik-fil-a's response (the other ones weren't as so judgy), so clearly it is going viral.
A friend from my college days posted a picture from a local vigil and had previously posted about how many Saturday nights he has been one of the people partying down around closing time at the local gay club. First comment was a guy saying "why are they flying rainbow flags? they should be red white and blue, etc." It took all of my restraint not to go off on that guy (not close enough to friend to go attacking people on his facebook page).
I found my FIL. But they have the street address from his current location, but the city and state are where he grew up. I'm betting it has something to do with his parent's estate from many years ago, but I imagine it will be hard to proved you lived at an address that doesn't exist.
This is why I have a collection of tank tops in different basic colors to but on under my shirts for work. It's not the bra straps showing that bothers me as much as showing the tops of the cups (if I want support and proper fit, they have to go up pretty high)
Really? My daycare provider "hosted" an online party for one of her friends who does this. I really hope she doesn't get sucked in any further.
You are so right about the privilege thing. A few years ago I was really into the African American Lives specials with Henry Louis Gates on PBS. For some reason the idea that black people needed to look at property records instead of census records to find their ancestors was thing that really got to me.
