What a sad situation, it's like she's no more wanted than the feral cats she crusades for.
Did Crazy For Animals write this for you? Keep telling your lies and you can live with the consequences.
It wasn't a "little" circle that soundly defeated you and your cat hugging support group in Raleigh, not to mentin Rowan County specifically this year. Still licking your wounds?
If you don't know DIH personally, how can you make a statment like that? I do know DIH personally and you are very wrong. In 2 little sentences, you contradict yourself.
Nobody is gassing and selling adoptable cats to raise money under the 72 hour requireent. The adoption fee is much more money than the 3 or 4 dollars for the cadaver, that doesn't make sense if money is the motivator. I know for a fact that Rowan County Animal Control follows all regulations and guidelines to the letter. You really need to back off on your ridiculous accusations, there are people on this list who know your identity, are saving your posts, and just might help a County Attorney hold you accountable for your reprehensible behavior.
In this time of shrinking budgets, we really must commend Animal Control for being resourceful. Not only do the cat cadavers provide valuable research opportunities, but a little relief in our County's budget as well. This is a win-win situation.
Animal Control is not the Humane Society, as part of the Health Dept., their top priority is the health and safety of Rowan County's Human population with regard to Animal Issues. I know our Animal Control officers personally and we couldn't ask for a more dedicated, professional and respectful Animal Control staff. This is why they passed the inspection. As far as the cats in the Shelter being someone's pets? If so, they were the pets of irresponsible owners who failed to comply with the leash law, and I have no sympathy for them.
I agree. However, I do think the unreasonable fines such as $500 + that have been suggested by local Animal Rights fanatics on the Post Blogs and in public forums would would discourage people with low or no income from reporting potential rabies infections.
The fine is $50.00 in the state of NC. Let me know if there are any more facts you're unclear on.
How about yesterday's news, Obama scolds the Banking Industry for paying out big bonuses for making big proffits, and then turns around and hits them up for his share of it!
