Yes, I won the 2013 BC in NC and it is just perfect for us! I love it there and it is exactly what we needed for our retirement years. It was a Godsent!

This place is absolutely stunning. You're right about the Zip Line. Let's see what the folks at DIY come up with.
Cheers,

We've been busy building a storage shed for bikes and mower, etc.. It sits in the back of the lot close to the shrubs and it is now finished and primed, we just need to paint and trim next time. Most of the landscaping survived the snow and our hiccups with the sprinkling system and I pruned the grapevines in the winter and they came back really nice although no grapes yet. Not sure if we'll get pecans this year either because sometimes construction can make them go into a dormant year. The little trees that they planted (were they fruit trees?) by the outdoor kitchen did not survive so I am looking to replace them but now have to wait for the appropriate season (Fall maybe). All in all, the cabin looks great and we're looking forward to our permanent move, We're still transitioning as the prelim trial for my eldest son's mugging and murder began last year but we keep going to court and they have continued the case over and over and so our business in LA is not quite finished yet. At the moment, concentrating on my middle son's wedding coming up on July 4th and other family things.
Ken sends regards to you and all the bloggers who have been so kind and like our online family.
Best,
Mari.
