I believe I should get access to the beta as I am a concerned Halo fan explained here.

So what will this really mean when Halo: Reach finally launches at the end of the year and all control of the Halo franchise is moved from Bungie to Microsoft; will we have to choose sides on where our loyalty will be going with Halo or otherwise? Will we be able to experience Halo again from 343 Industries if they are making a game? Things will certainly become complicated this fall when consumers will have to make what I believe to be one of the hardest decisions dealing with a franchise. Do we continue our loyalty to Bungie Studios as a whole since they have brought us Halo for over ten years or do we go show our support to those who could provide us with the next installment of the Halo franchise?

For some people out there, there might be more options because as each installment in the Halo franchise is released by Bungie they have segregated the community more and more. While some players might like Halo 1, over Halo 2, or Halo: ODST over Halo 3 or more combinations of all available Halo games. Add 343 Industries to the mix and it further divides the community’s allegiance to many subjects that deals with the Halo franchise. While there is some concerns already with what 343 Industries is doing with the Halo franchise with examples such as Halo Waypoint and Halo Legends. Change is something that scares most people and something this big that has been part of people’s live for maybe over ten years like me can only hope for the best intentions to be accomplished with 343 Industries and the future of the Halo brand.

I honestly do not know what my feelings will be when the torch is passed from Bungie to 343 Industries. I am sure that I will consistently enjoy the Halo universe no matter who has control of it, but whatever Bungie has up their sleeves has to be something big to continue their community support. While on the other hand there is a limited time that 343 Industries has before the transition happens and as it stands I am not sure Halo fans will know where to turn to for their Halo news and information when the transition happens. How long will Bungie be able to talk about Halo after the release of Reach before talking about their next project? When will 343 Industries start talking about their next step in the plans for the Halo universe including Halo Waypoint? For one thing the communities in the Halo universe are one of the most vocal groups of people that I know of and we all need to start building our connections with 343 Industries now and tell them what we want for the future of the Halo franchise.

I believe that might be true, if there were more avatar awards then more games might be sold. It is hard to say though really, will people spend $3 compared to buying a full game right now I would see people going for the cheaper options.

This is a great review of the game, but you said it best it will not change the critics mind's and its more of the same game. I am just not one to enjoy zombie killing I guess.

Great Job Michelle.

I got my hands on the Xbox 360 3 days before Christmas after a failed attempt to wait in line at Best Buy on the launch day.

It was cold and I had to wake up at 6am to get it, but it was worth it.
