Yes! I've been to one of their events in NYC, and it was so much fun! The book was The Great Gatsby and the winning story was about the yellow car (naturally). Cecil Baldwin of Welcome to Night Vale was the narrator and most of the competing writers also work on WtNV as writers and producers. I bought a tote bag, and every time I look at it I feel happy and tingly and a little uncomfortable.

I was bothered by the entire concept of people in drawers, just because it was so unbelievable that they would even be able to function. Were they locked in there all of the time? If yes, wouldn't they all be insane? Wouldn't their limbs atrophy? Why keep prisoners at all? Why not just kill them and not waste the space? I guess if they are all supposed to have useful skills it would make more sense, but in that case you would maybe not want to drive them insane.

I don't think it was supposed to be a happy ending. The whole thing was so fucking bleak.

I'm so torn on how I feel about the movie. .I can't really recommend the movie to people because it was so difficult to watch, but I do think it was pretty good. I was literally shaking when the credits rolled, because I was just expecting a weird action movie starring Chris Evan's beard. SO UPSETTING.

I did enjoy watching Chris Evans punch people, though. Up until the axes started appearing, I was so happy. I would watch him do hand to hand combat for hours, and I'm not usually very violent. The camera angle is very important though.

What were we talking about, again?
