I think it's still possible to participate in community and just let this other stuff do its own thing. it's kind of like the whole a-list blogger thing, at the end of the day, there are hosts of people who have no idea who these a-list bloggers are (or people building their whuffie). i think you should continue to just do and be you and share with the communities you've built and the new ones you build.
