Congratulations to your parents. You are truly blessed. My Mom and Dad made 56 years before God called Mom home just 20 days before her 80th birthday. It was unexpected and she fought like hell to stay with us but failed. Dad is still with me and I thank God everyday that he is. Hold tight to them for as long as you are able. Hooray for the good parents of all of us.
I understand and agree with you. All those who are saying it is a non-issue are just covering up their own incompetence. The problem is those that do not want this brought out to light are the same ones that feel our Constitution is worthless now. It is not important in this day and age. Our founding fathers were the most brilliant men of the age and the idiots nowadays couldn't even wipe their shoes. Just grin and bear it. It will be over soon. Keep up the good fight and have faith.
I gave up on Shepherd Smith a long time ago. During Katrina, which I lived through, he was so condescinding about the Federal government but refused to dump on the New Orleans Mayor or the totally incompetent Governor at that time. As far as Geraldo - I dumped his arrogant ass years and years ago. I get so fed up with the people who are minority based or partially minority based going on and on about how this country owes them something. Many, many years ago the other immigrants who arrived, legally, were put down and discriminated against. They just kept working and trying and were proud to assilimate into the fabric of the country. They did not try to impose their language, their culture on America and demand that everyone bend over for them. No I am not a racist - I am sick and tired of everyone being a hypenated American. What ever happened to be just a Proud American with a colorful ethnic background.
I will reply only once to you. There is good and bad in everything in this world. Obama with every word he speaks shows his inner most feelings. This is a very sad, emotionally immature child who is still reeling from being abandoned by his parents and never feeling like he fit in anywhere. Now, we all know that people who start out that way in life are very easily influenced by people they meet along the way - so go back and see all of his associations along his life path. That should be scary enough. I know many officers of the law and the majority are good people who put their lives in danger for you and I every day. I would never want their job, nor would you I suspect. Same goes for doctors. They are practicing medicine and trying to make the best judgment they can with whatever information they possess - that does not make them unethical. Maybe you are as sad and unhappy as Mr. Obama.
Yes, Hugh, I remember the dimes in my so-called "Penny loafers" and being able to use a pay phone if necessary. I hate cell phones with a passion and have always believed what my dad taught me - that there is no one I care to have find me 24/7 so that they can chat! I never want to be that accessible to anyone. I finally broke down and got a go-phone last year before I went on a trip with my then 81 year old father. We were going to be traveling alone by car and my husband insisted that I have it for safety reasons. I had to break down and agree. The only time I use it is to communicate with my family and no one else. My husband has had a cell phone for years - but it is all business related. His answer is that once he closes down his business it will be chucked over the overpass of the freeway to be run over hopefully by an 18 wheeler. People need to get real and step back to see the forest for the trees.
I agree with you - but just for laughs - I'm reminded of a joke from long ago. I remember on one of those standardized forms you are referring to that the person filling it out hand wrote in his race and then when it got to the question of sex - simply wrote in YES. If you want to mess up the computers that those forms are tabulated on just hand write your answers instead of checking or blacking in the little boxes. That insures that someone (human being) has to actually read your responses. Talk about gumming up their process.
I've read it and it is amazing. My husband is next then it goes (as promised) to my dad, a happy relatively healthy man who just celebrated his 82nd birthday. I lost my mom almost three years ago and am still devestated by the loss. Our founding fathers were brilliant and today's current politicians have no concept of what they said. In this coming election - if we are fortunate to have one- vote out every single one of them - no exceptions. Our founders never meant for the public office holders to make a career out of their service (term limits needed) nor did they ever want any lawyers to hold office. Did everyone know that little tidbit? I guess those poor old souls have been spinning in their graves for more than a hundred years - especially since the progressives came on the scene. Keep up the good fight. As the Brits say "TRUTH WILL OUT"
Until today I have never heard of Hal Turner. I do not know the whole story of his arrest and detention. I went on line to discover some of his own words and what I saw truly sickened me. I do not think the government should silence free speech BUT anyone who incites others to do violence and promotes violence against other people just for the satisfaction of their own Hatred is truly despicable. I feel sorry for this man. How he ever was brought to this place in his life where he hates everyone and everything is sad. This is the type of person that has very serious demons in his soul can only accept our pity and our prayers. NO I do not agree with his language at all. Let's think about this - isn't what he has been doing the same thing that Al-Queda does - promote Hate, Violence and Killing of Oneself for some weird wacked out belief that he or they are the be-all, end-all knower of all things.
All of the lifeboats except the one they are going to use as they make their way to the little island with all of the money they have stolen over the years. Remember the Cayman Islands holds most of the ill gotten gains from all the politicians (the life long ones anyway.)
Trust me, she represents an area not far from where I live and trust me she is not from this planet. There was a story a while ago where she made such a ruckus on a flight back to Houston because she did not have a seat in first class. Her staff goofed when they made the flight reservations. Anyway, back to the story, she made such a fuss demanding that the people on the flight from DC recognize her as an elite and a member of Congress. The flight attendants finally got her a seat where she wanted and they were finally able to take off after a considerable delay. My husband always said that if he were on that flight he would probably have ended up in jail because he would not have had a problem telling her to shut up, sit down and be quiet because she works for us as a civil servant and nothing more. Yes, definitely a nut job. That is the problem with most in Congress, some have been there so long that they think they are elite. Some have been there longer than some of the world's worst dictators.
