Yes I'm sorry I did receive your ecard in my mail and I loved it of course, thank you so much for adding a little sunshine to my day!
Sorry I haven't been much of a friend lately, what with returning to work, then the family drama that I told you about, and now the bad news about John and I've had to quit work again! I've been going to write to you but the last 2 weeks has been trying to digest what the Dr's told us. So I will tell you now and hopefully everyone will read this and understand what's going on, and I won't have to write about it again, at least for now, lol!
So at John's last check up with his Heart Specialist, she informed us that the right side of his heart is now failing. Add this to his already diseased left side, and she told us it's time to do the transplant, if that's what he wants. You see even if they say you need one, in the end it's still his decision to make, and they won't force the issue. So they sent in the heart transplant co-ordinator to speak with us and she talked to us for a long time and then sent us home with alot of reading material.
Now even though we have known for quite some time that eventually John would need a new heart, once they walk into the room and tell you that it's time, it's still shocking. More shocking are all the facts that we are learning about having the transplant done. We had no idea that even with having it done the average patient only lives 9.1 yrs after the surgery! WOW we said, we thought that the stats would be much higher. Then there's all the complications just from the drugs he will have to take afterwards, and let me tell you those are scary on their own! But he will have the transplant, because without it I'm afraid he won't last much longer, and we still have much to do!
So now begins the whole process of making sure he even qualifies to get a new heart. So testing, testing and more testing! Their two biggest concerns are his liver, because he had hepatitis 11 yrs ago, and the damage to his brain that he suffered from his accident. They have to make sure that his brain will handle the stress of the surgery, because stroking out is common with transplant surgery, and that it will handle just the transplant itself. Weird eh, I never even thought that his brain could be a problem. So over the next little while we will be back & forth to Toronto to have the tests done, as well as having councilling sessions. If he gets through all of the tests, they are hoping to have the transplant done within this year. That said people can be at the top of the list for a while!
So I urge everyone out there to sign your organ donor cards. Here we can do it on our Driver's Licenses, not sure how it works in other countries, but go online and learn how to become an organ donor. It costs nothing to become one and you could save someone's life! Afterall, let's face it, once you are gone your not going to need those organs, and there are so many men, women & children around the world waiting for that precious donation!
Thanks everyone for listening. The next little while will be stressful and difficult as we wait, but somewhere in there is a little touch of excitement at the possibility that John could finally have a better life!
Love to you all
Lucy xoxo

John & I will get through this situation, as we always do, together. Once we've had a chance to digest the news I will share with you here what's going on, but I think we are still in a little bit of shock. Thanks so much for your kind thoughts.
Love Lucy xoxo

Having not been able to sleep tonight I decided to download this game and give it a try. Not a bad game, but a very simple, straight forward and easy game. I played this in HARD mode, and still it was very easy I found. I also found that unless you created a new profile I couldn't change difficulty level. Graphics were nothing great, sometimes objects to be found were quite small and not always easy to see.
Overall, definitely not the worst game, but don't think it's one I would play again or keep for that matter. probably a 6 out of 10 for me. Of course that's only my opinion for what it's worth, lol!
Love to all
