Full employment loans for university staff is what it is all about. They see the motherlode that is the future earning of their suckers (oops, I meant students) going to them all guaranteed by the federal government. A great deal.

After all, no one actually makes anything in the USA any longer. Too dirty. Better to work at Starbucks and buy goods from China

Not much left to cut in Medicare after Obama took 3/4 of a trillion dollars for Obamacare from it. And sooner or later the "doc fix" will not pass, in which case Medicare will become extremely cheap--because only rotten doctors will accept medicare payments.

I don't understand how a 5% cut in defense funding results in a 25% reduction in ground forces. Can someone explain that particular mathematics to me? Because it smells like the typical "Washington Monument" strategy that government takes when faced with any cuts--even cuts in projected growth. The strategy being that the most painful and visible cutbacks will be made in order to blackmail the taxpayers into coughing up more $$$. In the case of defense, this strategy is particularly reprehensible since it invites attack. We know the Obama administration would gladly invite death and destruction on citizens if it meant that future funding for government would be assured. Has that attitude infected the political generals in the Pentagon? Does a bear defecate in the woods?

Exactly. Spending 4 times as much as Romney and Obama doesn't get anything in the polls. It is almost like the voters know that nothing the Obama campaign says can be trusted. After years of broken campaign promises, I can't understand why the base and independents might think that.

She is campaign staff. They are not responsible for representing anyone regardless of McKenna's day job. You have heard that public employees are not supposed to work for campaigns, right? Or is that too hard to comprehend (given the widespread Democrat corruption, maintaining that separation might be a foreign concept to liberals).

Just another Obama lie. Putting Obama's stimulus, TARPII, UAW (oops, GM) bailout, Omnibus Spending bill of 2009, and S-CHIP expansion in Obama's terms means a 24% expansion.

And even that wouldn't have been so bad if we had gotten more for our money than fat and happy government workers, corrupt green "investments" (with outsourcing), and historically high real unemployment. But since Obama has never even run a lemonade stand, it isn't surprising he has no clue about the government's limited role in promoting private business. Given his loony opinion about the private economy ("it is doing fine") and his infantile philosophy about entrepreneurship(" If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."), it is clear President Downgrade isn't even capable of learning.

And President Downgrade couldn't even be bothered to show up for the NAACP convention in an election year. Yeah, I can see a lot of energy for re-electing Obama....
