Great comment, I completely agree with you, but in reagrds to the Metroid Prime games, they are very good, amazing even, and they capture the true feeling Metroid is made for more so than any 2D game in the series. I highly reccomend them to you.
I think Retro would do a great job with a Zelda game. I adore the Metroid Prime Trilogy and MK7/DKCR were both stellar (in my opinion) so I see no harm in them making a LoZ game. About voice acting, as long as it turns out well and not like SOME games *cough* Arc Rise Fantasia *cough*, and as long as Link doesn't have a voice I think it would be awesome!
Exactly! But Tyler and Phil are both pretty awesome as well, and I'm a HUGE Chuggaaconroy fan.
The glitch happened to me on my second playthrough because I wanted the Hylian Shield early. XD Thank God I didn't save after talking to Golo.
Welcome to ZeldaDungeon, probably the best site for Zelda news, walkthroughs, dedicated fans and staff amongst many other things!
I already hated X-Play to begin with, not as much as I hated GameSpot but still, in their XBox 360 fanboy faces that an actual good game won. Beyond good...
Also, if you talk to Erla ( the Kikwi hiding up on a ledge in Faron Woods) after getting Faron's piece of the song (after the flood) he'll give you a Goddess Plume and say "Remember: It's a secret to everybody!" Three times that phrase is referenced!
I never noticed the little theme that plays when your fighting The Horde when the Leader Bokoblins come in!
Also, I think it would be cool to have some other form of combat aside from the sword. Not a different weapon but maybe like magic spells that consumed a magic meter, a bit like in The Adventure of Link but to a much greater extent. There could be spells like fire, ice, lightning, curses, maybe some more farfetched ones like summoning an enemy to fight for you or making a water shield of some sort, and you could upgrade the spells to make them more powerful. I dunno I just think that'd be freakin' awesome.
I'm a bit torn on voice acting, but what I really want to see is an old-fashioned inventory, instead of the "Adventure Pouch" where limited items could be stored. Though it sounds good on paper, I didn't think it really added anything to the game and in a way detracted from the experience. Also, I much prefer the type of day/night system that was in Twilight Princess, as opposed to the "sleep to change the time of day" mechanic in Skyward Sword. And this is pretty off-topic for the article, but I just felt like nitpicking somewhere.
