Dr. Bob Basso, the guy that made the Youtube videos where he dresses up as Thomas Paine, coming back from the past to warn Americans about their country, received a call from yours truly, Barack Obama.

Apparently Obama was ticked off that Dr. Basso’s videos were gaining speed and he “invited him to the White House to discuss the nature of these disturbing videos”.

We put the latest video in question up on the main page at http://grou.ps/zapem along with a 10min. audio from the Jerry Doyle show that explains matters further.

Jerry Doyle has been interviewing Dr. Basso on a regular basis. Not only was Dr. Basso warned by Obama not to go public about the interview, Jerry Doyle’s show also received a call from the administration warning them not to air it.

That didn’t deter either of them…. they immediately told everyone what was going on, putting a hitch in the giggy of Obama’s plans. Jerry Doyle believes that the warnings were made to give the Obama administration time to turn Dr. Basso into a rerun of Joe The Plumber.

Obama gets list of top Muslim Americans

CHICAGO — In a bid to get more Muslim Americans working in the Obama administration, a book with resumes of 45 of the nation’s most qualified — Ivy League grads, Fortune 500 executives and public servants, all carefully vetted — has been submitted to the White House.
The effort, driven by community leaders and others, including U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., was bumped up two weeks because White House officials heard about the venture, said J. Saleh Williams, program coordinator for the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association, who sifted through more than 300 names.
“It was mostly under the radar,” Williams said. “We thought it would put (the president) in a precarious position. We didn’t know how closely he wanted to appear to be working with the Muslim American community.”

OBAMA APOLOGIZES TO FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS COMMENT:

Appearing on “The Tonight Show,” the president told host Jay Leno he’d been practicing at the White House’s bowling alley but wasn’t happy with his score of 129. The he rolled a gutter ball by quipping: “It was like the Special Olympics or something.”

The audience laughed, but the White House quickly recognized the blunder.

On his way back to Washington on Air Force One, Obama called the chairman of the Special Olympics, Tim Shriver, to say he was sorry _ even before the taped program aired late Thursday night.

“He expressed his disappointed and he apologized in a way that was very moving. He expressed that he did not intend to humiliate this population,” Shriver said Friday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Obama, Shriver said, wants to have some Special Olympic athletes visit the White House to bowl or play basketball.

Still, Shriver said, “I think it’s important to see that words hurt and words do matter. And these words that in some respect can be seem as humiliating or a put down to people with special needs do cause pain and they do result in stereotypes.”

Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton told reporters traveling with Obama that the president’s offhand remark was not meant to disparage the Special Olympics, only to poke some fun at the commander-in-chief’s bowling skills.

THE WAY OUR TAX SYSTEM WORKS !

Ten men go out for lunch together every day. The bill for all ten comes out to an even $100.
They decided that they would pay the bill the way we pay our taxes. So it went something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay$12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
The ten men ate lunch every day and were quite happy with the arrangement until one day, the owner threw them a curve.”Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your meals by $20. Lunches for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so they refigured each one’s share.
The first four still paid nothing.
The fifth man now paid nothing. (100% savings)
The sixth man now paid $2 instea of $3. (33% savings)
The seventh man now paid $5 instead of $7. (28% savings)
The eighth man now paid $9 instead of $12. (25% savings)
The ninth man now paid $14 instead of $18. (22% savings)
The tenth man now paid $49 instead of $59. (16% savings)
Each of the six were better off than before, and the first four continued to eat for free.
But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. “I only got a dollar out of the $20,” declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, “but he got $10.

“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man, “I only saved a dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I got.” “That’s true!” shouted the seventh man, “Why should he get $10 back when I only got two? The wealthy get all the breaks!” “Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison, “We didn’t get anything at all! The system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next day the tenth man didn’t show up to eat lunch, so the nine sat down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between them to pay up!

And that, ladies and gentlemen, Journalists, and college professors, is how our tax system works.The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefits from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact they might start eating their lunches overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
