People must really not like classic Sailor Moon.

Can you blame him? He thought his cutie Mark meant he had perpetual bad luck. It would be quite reasonable for him to think that trying to defend himself would be futile at best, and maybe get them slack with the perjury charge at worst. In his mind, it would've been dumb for him to even try.

"the CMC hesitated many times to fess up"
They hesitated once, and I thought that scene where they tried to confess was done perfectly. There are not saints, you wouldn't expect them to immediately confess to doing something they shouldn't. They took a few moments to build up with Kerge, but by the time they started it was too late. I don't think they ever had the intention not to confess.

"Applejack was stubborn"
About what?

Overall solid episode. Troubleshoes was a bit of a downer when we first met him but he had a great character arc by the end of the episode. The only negatives would be what this episode says about cutie marks and their and implications about a pony's destiny.

Hang on now, no evidence? The three weren't found in the entire town, and they knew that he known criminal, who had seemingly tried to hurt the three before, was on the loose. Applejack probably thought that if the three how just run away that they would be in the town, enjoying the rodeo, which they weren't. She didn't imagine that they would've had the balls to run off and try to find a known criminal. She felt she could rule out running away so that leaves kidnapping. The only lead they had was Troubleshoes who they thought was a criminal. I mean, if there's been a theft, you would question the known theives first.
And as Applejack said, "do you really want to take that chance?" The fillies being kidnapped was the more dangerous scenario, so they had to plan an act as if that were the case. Better to assume the worst and be wrong, then to not assume it and be wrong. And once the three girls were seen with Troubleshoes, that sealed the thought in everybody's mind that was there that he was the kidnapper. At this point, it can hardly be said that there was no evidence. Applejack didn't do anything wrong. Her actions were all justified.

Hasbro's actions are bullshit because the claims they bring up would not hold in court because the laws don't apply to a majority of their targets, or those targets fall under Fair Use.
Granted, plenty of people don't understand the nuances of IP law, but they can still smell the ripe bullshit that is wielding such laws against transformative and noncommercial fan works.

I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
