FOCUS. He dedicated the book to his wife, Irene. The passage below is after that in the "acknowlegments." He also mentions Thomas Paine and a rabbi. A dedication is not the same thing as an acknowlegment. Fact: he did not dedicate the book to Lucifer. If you want to say that he mentioned Lucifer (along with Paine and another) in the acknowledgments, you'll have no debate from me. But get your terminology straight.
Use whatever terms you want; it's not going to change my mind about the right of a woman to choose.
I'm not saying all religious answers are discounted. You should listen to your religious beliefs and not have an abortion. And you can advocate for no one having abortions ever -- that's your choice. Meanwhile, I'll advocate for a woman's right to chose. It's simple...You can't convert all of us "heathens"
Once again....according to your beliefs. The courts say that abortion is legal. I choose to follow that rather than YOUR beliefs.
Actually, it doesn't. You sound rather silly insisting that because YOU believe something is so/because YOUR religion tells you A or B, that it should, therefore, be the law of the land. If a Muslim said that, you'd be frothing at the mouth.
Nope. Your personal religious beliefs are your own and you're free to live your life according to them.
Of course you have the right to exercise your free speech, and you're offering your opinion as a strict Constitutionalist. Others who are not in that camp, disagree. It doesn't make you right or them right. We still are a nation of laws, whether we like them or not. Abortion is legal (with restrictions) in the U.S. Them's the facts.
No gotcha stuff. You believe the rights of man are those listed in the Declaration of Independence or are there others? Just trying to make sure we're talking about the same thing.
All human beings across time?
When "personhood" begins is a matter of opinion isn't it? There is no universally accepted consensus on that. Simply because you believe something doesn't make it true.
Abortion is NOT illegal in this country and we are a nation of laws. You certainly have the right not to have an abortion, but don't expect others to adhere to YOUR beliefs.
That's all I have to say on the matter, Nick.
