I lowered my liquor costs when my parents retired (except for occational specialty stuff). My snowbird parents come through Reno on their way home each spring and pick up Costco branded liquor. Yes, I have to buy for a year, but when you get half-gallons from Reno for the price of a WA-state fifth, it's easy math.
Plus Costco vodka is from a top shelf maker (i.e. goose). I've heard the same for Whisky and ta-kill-ya.

Gonna get TD's, but why didn't the PARENTS teach their child to swim? It's sad that a child lost his life, but $15 million doesn't prove you were a good parent or bring back your dead child.
Obviously we (the taxpayers) are responsible so if I am now going to be on the hook for $15 million, I say pave the pool over and let irresponsible parents sue someone else.

Lucky you Seattle - tough to see through the wool isn't it.
You've supported Renewable Portfolio Standards forcing the purchase of higher cost energy, dam breaking, wind energy (that competes directly with low cost hydro), subsidies for "green" companies, and huge executive salaries...
Next business' will bail, crime will soar, the Seattle ghetto continues to grow.
How's that Hope(y) thing working out for ya?

I think the bigger travesty is that all of the executives make north of $500k and less than 20% of collected actually gets to research and treatment.

Check out their IRS 990. How can you stay tax exempt when you are funding a party like this? http://www.guidestar.org/

This is not spam and if you have a minute, watch this video. Rob Reid's presentation is great. He is the founder of the online music service Rhapsody and shows how the entertainment industry is drunk on their own self-determined value. I am sure we will hear the same craziness if/when this goes to trial.

From the story..."Sgt. Cindi West with the King County Sheriff's Office said the elaborate crime was unique."

No it's not! This happens all of the time and it was a Marysville police officer who told me to remove your address from the registration back in 2004 after this happened to a friend while at church. He said that the information is in the State systems and when calling in your plate, they can get that information and confirm it to your ID.
Cross it out or cut it out - Get your address out of your car, especially if you leave your garage remote in there.

Did I read this right? The gun that killed the cop was sold legally?
Per the opening paragraph, the prison time is due to an unrelated sale. I think the author is stretching by throwing in the history of a gun used in a different crime to stir up the anti-gunners.

How about a story about people lying to buy guns and even thought many laws exist to stop that activity. Where are the cries from the Anti-Gun folks asking judges to enforce the laws that exist.

We have the laws in place. Enforce them.

Well said - Thank you.
When will these idiots (the pols) learn that this state is eating itself alive. Without JOBS and a BUSINESS FRIENDLY environment, there will be nothing here. You can give mice marriage rights, it won't matter.
