Oh, thank you - you're making me blush! I would honestly have a go at a fondant class, it's really fun. Once you get a little bit used to rolling the fondant (and removing it from the board without messing it up), it's just a case of cutting shapes and using your imagination. For the three pastel cakes I used a texture sheet to make the pattern, then a cutter to make the round shape. Then you use smaller cutters for the flowers etc. It's not that difficult, honestly. And you get to eat the cakes afterwards too! :-)

Thanks, Cat. I have had a sudden burst of creative energy, so I'm making the most of it. ;-)

Hi Mandy, thank you for your comment. I'm not sure whether those beads are Czech or not - they are very, very small though, so I think Peyote stitch using them would drive me mad! Interesting to know about the difference between Japanese and Czech beads though, thank you.

Well, that's an interesting one. Because The Husband (in his wisdom) has potted on 20 (yes, really) tomato plants. And they are nearly all at the 'we need bigger pots' stage. So our garden may just become a tomato plant nursery. :D

We bought a Kenwood KMix instead. Just as nice (although not in as many funky colours) and almost half the price. Made cheese scones and bread so far.

Thank you! I also love his jacket, I am quite proud of that. Less proud of the fact that I spent my Sunday afternoon sewing a tiny cummerbund though. :-D

I can't take credit for the glitterball, I got it as a Christmas present and just put it to use as part of the trophy. Which he WILL win this year. *sending positive dancey vibes into the cosmos*

I agree, the pattern is a bit busy, but I thought the colours were the best match from all the papers.

My hand *would* probably give the photo an antique feel. Guess it's time to apply some more hand cream! :D

Thanks for all the comments!

They probably would, yes. Although I also photograph earrings hanging against a background, so I'd need to fix the paper to the back of the board somehow.

I haven't. I have seen pics of it though, it looks fabulous.

Hi Mim. I reckon it probably would, although it might not seal the paper as well as the Modge Podge. If you're not planning to use the storage pots anywhere where they could get damp, it'd be fine. Have a go, and let me know how you get on.
