I play a lot of online poker (although not as much as I did since Eve has been in my life). I keep thinking about playing in these games, but every time I do I think my time would be better used playing for real money.

Even in a small group like that you should have an FC. Even if they aren't all that good it's important to all be doing the same thing, and if one person calls targets it's obvious what everyone needs to be doing. If you'd come up against a similar sized group to your own you'd probably have regretted being without an FC.
