I know this is an "off the wall" idea but has anyone ever considered purchasing North Korea from Kim and the supporters who keep him in power? A couple of 100 billions would allow him to move to Dubi and live the playboy lifestyle and socialize with Michael Jackson and the jet setters. If he would take the deal it would be a lot cheaper than any military option. They we could sell it to South Korea and make some real money.

Looking at this issue from the liberal or progressive point of view, anyone who will NOT compromise their values or principles for personal advancement or power has to be seen as extreme. Expedience is the only value they have and personal advancement or power is their only goal.

Term limits is a simple and easy concept but it is arbitrary and I don’t like arbitrary laws. Instead, I would suggest that elected office holders be prohibited from campaigning, fund raising or having their name appear on any ballot until after their term of service expires. This would allow talented people to serve as often as the voters wish while making it impossible for anyone to serve consecutive terms. I have thought that campaigning for office while holding office is a clear conflict of interest and should be prohibited in any case.
