Don't forget holding your pants up, you would think they would steal pants that fit, or at least a belt.
In the early 90's the UK banned pit bulls, and even though the number of pits decresed significantly the number of dog bites did not. Most attacks happen in the dog's home territory (house or yard). One out of fifty people will be bitten by a dog each year.
"The most horrifying example of the lack of breed predictability is the October 2000 death of a 6-week-old baby, which was killed by her family's Pomeranian dog. The average weight of a Pomeranian is about 4 pounds, and they are not thought of as a dangerous breed. Note, however, that they were bred to be watchdogs! The baby's uncle left the infant and the dog on a bed while the uncle prepared her bottle in the kitchen. Upon his return, the dog was mauling the baby, who died shortly afterwards." A neighbor's badly trained pitts got loose and attacked another neighbors cat, yeah I jumped in and stopped the attack without much of a problem. I did get bit by the cat, but that was my own fault. Smaller dogs are more likely to attack and continue attacking, and attack unprovoked. The attacks by largers dogs are usually due to sheer stupidity on either the part of the owner or the person being attacked. Do a little research and learn about dog behavior.

Thank you for clarifying. It would be nice to ban the people who brought this pitbull to Center Point. I feel that the blame lies with the owner of the dog for not properly training their dog, not properly restraining their dog (especially in the vehicle), and for not controlling their dog. I wish your dog a speedy recovery, and I hope the owners of the other dog are responsible and pay for your vet bills. I also don't want people to lose their pets because of one irresponsible person who doesn't even live in Center Point.
I'll take a poorly trained pit, in fact I have, a pom is not a very smart dog.
Thank you. As long as a dog, any dog is properly socialized with other dogs, well trained and taken care of properly dog attacks would not be a problem. This person didn't even live in Center Point, so why do the rest of us have to pay for their stupidity? Maybe they should just ban visiting dogs. The owner of this dog should be punished severaly, not me, my family or my dog. My dog has never even attacked another dog that has run into OUR yard, never mind going after another dog or person who is just walking down the street. Give me a break Center Point, fine the owner of the dog, and while your at it the owners of the several other dogs that often get loose but are ignored.
Yeah but I know a woman that if she falls down we are all doomed.
