What a great idea . . . I like to eat chocolate chips right out of the bag, too. I guess that's the kid inside me.
Thanks for sharing at the Retro Re-Pin Party. I hope to see you next week on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.

Thanks for hosting this fun party!
I also think that time moves faster the older we get. I remember summer vacation as an elementary school student being an eternity -- a wonderful eternity :)

Ha!
When I used to often watch my niece, it was similar. In fact, it was easier to help her with homework if I just tried to do something by myself. If she wanted my attention, I'd ask her about spelling words, math problems, etc.
Kids love to have your attention. I don't think their thought process is like this, "Look, she's reading a book. I should get her to do something for me. I'll ask for milk."
I remember when that happened. My niece asked for milk the moment I got into the book I was reading, even though she was busy with her own things. So I put the book down and got her milk. She took half a sip and IGNORED it. She clearly didn't want milk.
I don't think she thought, "What can I do to make my aunt do stuff for me?" but I think somehow they are wired to do it without even having to think through that step.

Thanks for this idea. I had never thought to cook the skins so they are soft and able to be pureed. I will definitely use this trick the next time I make applesauce since the peels are so good for you.
Kelly, if you get a chance to come by, the Retro Re-Pin Party opens at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesdays and runs until 8 p.m. on Thursdays.

Kim, thanks for hosting this party! I love your features this week. I hadn't seen those up-cycled cansisters before. I had seen the jalapeno pizza before, but it's worth a second look!
I just started hosting a Retro Re-pin party (link below) if you would like to join, I'd love to have you!

Carrie, these look wonderful. I just pinned them to try later. I wonder what my husband would think of those buffalo ones...

Hi Kim,
Thanks for the link party. I'm also on my way to updating my party page, including using your new button with the updated day of the week. Now that I said that, hopefully it won't take me days to actually get all the techy stuff done :)
