Too bad that there are so many neo-cons and other reactionary Jews who choose to ignore the Biblical prophets' calls for peace, equality and justice for all, not just for a bunch of wealthy individuals.

It is always good to see racist actions and words held to account but can we please get back to the other important issues like global warming, wars for oil and empire, destruction of the constitution, spying on all of us? If Sterling is banned for life from the NBA for a few words what should we do with Obama, Clinton, Clapper, Alexander, etc who murder all the time civilians , via drones and guns, most of them dark skinned people? To which circle in Dante's Hell should we send them?

I have read Ha'aretz daily since my childhood in Jerusalem and it is still an excellent paper but whenever there is a profile of a writer or politician or banker there is always revealing information about a heterosexual “exploring” or “experimenting” with a lesbian or gay lover, painful tales of divorce and children who refuse to talk with the subject of the story, scandal. Maspik!

I do not know what the Oglala Lakota feel about my comment and it is presumptuous of you to claim that you have any idea. Have you asked them? Gone door to door? But I have worked, as a physician, on the Makah reservation in Washington State. I have also worked in some of the poor neighborhoods and towns in Israel (shechunat Ha’tikva, Musrara, Yerucham). Everywhere I saw poverty and inadequate medical services. “No money available” is the usual song and dance. I see a connection between all the money wasted on the settlements in Israel and the fact that people are suffering.
