It sounds like you have a lot of group discussions in class, so why not take it up in the group setting, Here's what I would do in this situation. Bring it up in class and acknowledge that while if a patient chooses to describe something as emotional rape you would of course understand that to mean that they were expressing a feeling of receiving severe emotional abuse, you feel that as clinicians the phrase "emotional rape" is inappropriate first because rape means a very specific thing and using the term emotional rape instead of the widely accepted term "emotional abuse" just muddies the waters, and in addition that using that term around patients could be highly problematic and in fact triggering if you are dealing with a patient that has been raped. While of course some patients who are rape survivors might associate the loss of control associated with the emotional abuse with their rape, they also may not, and a clinicians use of that term might actually create such an association in their head which could in fact be damaging.

God Mario Puzo rode the coattails of Coppola's talent. (and the talent of DeNiro, Pacino, Brando, Keaton, Duvall, and Gordon Willis - that was a talented cast and crew)

I didn't hate it but based on the hype I was massively disappointed.

I couldn't stand it when I saw it in theaters - but that was years ago and I liked There Will be Blood and the Master, so maybe my tastes have changed.
