Back in MY day you were a rectangle and you bounced a dot back and forth with another rectangle. And all we need to kill alien invaders was more dots! You had to be smart enough to aim where they were going to be, rather than where they actually were, too, we couldn't use shiny lazer-guidance systems that took all the work out!
