FORREST GUMP SUCCEEDED because of the personalized, emotional throughline of one man's struggle against the (mostly) liberal societal forces that kept separating him from the love of his life. The resulting film was a hit as a classic hero's journey and also a political statement that affirmed family values and patriotism.
Notice too that a film like this doesn't need to explicitly attack the dehumanizing outcomes of Leftist thought- it need only to SHOW not TELL (a story-telling lesson the Liberal true believers in Hollywood can't quite learn).

It's great to live in a state like CA, where the majority of voters approve Prop 8 (including 70% of Black Democrats) instead of a place like the Gaza Strip, eh Jack???

When CGI bloodshed and fight choreography becomes too Video-Gamey, the viewer is IMMEDIATELY taken out of the story and reminded that he/she is watching a two-dimensional screen. This breaks the fourth wall every time.
Gimme the 1960 Kirk Douglas Spartacus any day.

LMAO! Hollywood 1%ers "cognizant of the 99%"? Someone tell that lefty hack Director that the Kettle is on the phone and wants to speak to him.
As I posted earlier this week, Hollywood's Donut Hole logic means that these 1%er Industry Insider Liberals exploit legions of college "interns" as free slave labor to fetch coffee, file documents, answer phones- all jobs that Wall Street and Detroit (or any decent businesses) are forced to pay wages for-
Interesting how, for instance, multimillion-dollar Hollywood firms like Redford's Sundance Institute think lowly college-aged workers don't need to be paid , but under the Bright Lights these same Hypocrites write $35,000 checks to the Democratic Party because they're on the side of , um, the 99%.
See for yourselves:

WHAT OTHER INDUSTRY GETS AWAY WITH EMPLOYING SLAVES? (At least Detroit and Wall Street PAYS its phone receptionists and paper shufflers) Check out Sundance's exploitation of college-enrolled slaves ("Interns" is what Redford and his Hollywood lefty pals call them). There's no cognitive dissonance with Liberal Hypocrites who don't pay their college interns but write $35,000 checks to the Obama campaign due to their "concern for the 99%"!

Barry is the first President who DOES NOT WANT to be the leader of ALL the American people-only the President of a supposed 99%, even though most of the remaining 1% in New York, San Francisco & Hollywood shovel him plenty of money.
This is not leadership nor the American way to promise Hope and then use crude scapegoating of any group to address our nation's problems. It's past time to elect a President who won't divide America by class warfare, by race, or by fear in order to save his own grip on power. Vote American next November.
