Someone once told me that a lock only keeps the honest people out. Criminals will ignore any law that exists, that is the very definition of criminal. No matter what you do they will ignore it. I am all for responsible legal ownership of firearms for self defense. Why? Because when a criminal has it in the back of their head that their intended victim may very well whip out a weapon and defend themselves they will think twice about what they are about to do. Legal ownership of firearms does far more to reduce crime than any gun control law ever will. Look at any small town with a high gun ownership rate. The crime rates are extremely low, mainly because anyone who considers committing a crime knows there is a good chance they are going to get shot at. Look at Washington DC, a city with very strict gun control laws. Look at its' crime rate. Crooks there know that everybody is unarmed and do whatever they want to whoever they want, probably without consequence. Gun control laws do more to protect the criminals than they do to protect good people. They are worthless.

Try winning more than 60 games in a year. 116 win seasons are great but if I were a Mariner's fan I would trade about 20 of those wins in 2001 for a World Series Championship. Establish a winning tradition, and the fans will come. This team has been mediocre at best for the past decade, they are the west coast version of the Orioles. Visiting teams bring more support with them. It's sad.

There were notices, my wife saw them, and if all you care about is your own inconvenience while people lay dead on the highway then your priorities are way out ow whack. Why don't you just concentrate on arriving at your destination in safely. It could have been you, me or anyone else in that accident.
