The notion that this level of security is new or unprecedented is simply inaccurate. The Marine Corps Marathon in D.C. and the LA Marathon both had very visible security that included helicopters and highly sophisticated bomb detection equipment. I'm hired as an official photographer for nearly all of the largest marathons and I get to see first-hand exactly what goes on behind the scenes. Suffice to say, this is NOT out of the ordinary.

Hands on shoulders & shaking back and fourth - I'd venture to say that's probably over the line in terms of work-related boundaries. At the same time, when you read "touched inappropriately", it has a different connotation to it.

So the woman lets a stranger use her phone and he steals it. Nice. I guess the old saying "no good deed goes unpunished" proved true - at least in this case.

It's great that people were willing to get involved and help recover the phone!

When this blaze was first reported, I thought it might be my storage unit going up in flames. I was quite relieved to find out it was the next building over.

I feel horrible for all those who had units and lost items that were irreplaceable.
