It never ceases to amaze me to learn what the government wastes their time on. No matter what laws or even devices one will create to prevent piracy of ANY kind, someone will come up with a way to override it. In a funny way, THAT’S called progress! Gee, I seem to remember a time when reel-to-reel tape recorders had a bad reputation. “You can’t record that song on the radio…it’s illegal.” Ha! I can’t even THINK about that old rule without laughing!

Yes indeed, a way to control and manipulate people…and a way to easily and conveniently scare them all at the same time.
I couldn’t agree more. I also enjoy this never-ending argument that “My God can beat up Your God”! One would think that one had a bit more intelligence than that old bumper sticker prophesized!

If the Republican Party continues to “preach” this whole religious angle, they’re gonna have no one to blame but themselves when they blow this whole thing in November. I must confess though, I really am looking forward to it…but I wonder if they’ll learn something as a result of it. Odds are, they won’t. They’ll probably figure out a way to religiously blame everything on all us heathens out here in the “real” world! That way, they won’t have to face the fact that they simply didn’t have anyone suitable for the job…and no one was really that interested in what church they belonged to.

Part Two:
And, along those lines…if I decide to start a business and then change my mind later down the road because it just wasn’t the right thing to do, can I be guilty of or charged with abortion? If I simply close my business, would that be considered murder? If I work for one business, can I “marry” another business? Would that be considered cheating? You laugh now, but don’t you see how ridicules this is all becoming! We’re getting a little carried away here but I think some of us are just having too much fun with the absurdity of it all…and besides, it’s a great diversion to what’s REALLY important...and that's simply getting back reality.

Part One:
Was that whole issue of separation of church and state that I learned in school many, many, many years ago simply a joke? It was one of the cornerstones of the whole process of coming to America, wasn’t it? Why IS the subject of religion so prominent this year? Did someone accidently leave the door open letting everyone get loose? I don’t have any problems with someone’s religion…I just don’t need people ringing my doorbell 24 hours a day. Do we also need to reevaluate the definition of “freedom of” or “freedom from” as well? After all, if corporations are defined as people now, it would follow suit.

When it comes to safety, way too many people now-a-days believe that old maxim: “Oh…it’ll NEVER happen to me!” And then, if or when something DOES happen, they act soooo surprised! What a pity. I’d much rather have somebody accuse me of being MORE obsessed with safety than to be the one to figure out how to explain my simply stupidity and ignorance regarding something that should be so obvious and second nature. And on that some note…one very rarely criticizes somebody for being TOO concerned about safety! I’m sorry about the loss. It’s a very hard way to learn something. I do agree with one other entry…Maybe common sense ISN’T so common any more.

What a great promotion for the city, their chamber of commerce and their hospitality industry! Makes me wanna put Cincinnati, or even Ohio, on MY vacation schedule! I’m simply amazed that this is even an issue. I agree with several other comments regarding simply showering prior to using the pool. Problem solved. This situation will undoubtedly cause a few unpleasant repercussions…and then, of course, someone will innocently wonder why!

Here’s a little thought that will make everyone feel a little better…at least you’re talking about it and discussing it! There are some out there who won’t even consider giving it the time of day because they’re so closed-minded and/or controlled by some religious doctrine that prohibits them from having an opinion of their very own!
So, keep on talking…keep on discussing…and odds are, we’ll all come to some mutual agreement that will eventually satisfy everyone…and then some day, we’ll all be amused at all the fuss we went thru over such a minor issue!

Ah…the good ol’ days, when an education was a REAL education…when you learned how to read and how to write and how to spell! I can even remember when slang was NOT permitted, spoken OR written. Even saying the word “darn” was considered swearing, punishable by that great old assignment: You will write 100 times: “I will not use slang!” Ah…the good ol’ days! I guess every generation goes through this though, so, in another 50 years, they’ll be saying, “Gee…remember, back in the days when you had to actually write something down on a real piece of paper instead of just talking into a computer and then commanding it to “save and/or send”? Hmmm...I also wonder if we’ll still have the two-party system!
