Reading too much into things, however....

NO WE'RE ALL BELLE BECAUSE SHE LIKES BOOKS RIGHT? even though she otherwise stinks, and she really only reads romance novels, not even grown-up books

(Rapunzel is the most intellectual Disney princess; when will she get credit for charting stars, doing math in her head, and playing chess with her animal sidekick?)

Mary behaves like an actual teenager (though I know this was written before teenagehood was a thing), while her older sisters seemed thirty-five.

I cycle between all three of those thoughts during my nightly Self-Administered Character Audit.

Yeah, Sandlot's a great movie and all, but this always bothered me too. (along with "You throw like a GURRL" being the ultimate berserker insult)

Yes! The horror stories from women who gave birth decades ago! For a while there in the 20th century, giving birth in the Western world was creepy as hell. With my mom's first in 1958, she was knocked out when she arrived at the hospital and then woke up the next day alone in a cold dark room with no baby in her belly. She says it was the scariest and loneliest moment of her life.

So she loved hearing me talk about labor tubs and skin-to-skin.

Right now my grandmother is mad at my cousin's wife because she posted "Merry Christmas, assholes" on her Facebook.

I always thought "Jessie's Girl" was kind of pointing out *why* the character singing the song was not with Jessie's girl.

And I'm lookin' in the mirror all the time
Wondering what she don't see in me, I've been funny
I've been cool with the lines
Ain't that the way love supposed to be?

No it's not, dope; you're corny and Jessie isn't. I think Rick Springfield meant for us to see that.

I want to punch any painting or sculpture that shows a nude woman with a clothed man.
