I'm so damned happy I can't stop crying - or laughing!!! WHAT AN AMAZING DAY!!!!
Ah yes, the "psychic" Jeane Dixon, White House Advisor. LOL
I love this community so much. Thank you for being here to celebrate with me - my wife has been in the hospital for nearly two months, and this news is more of a relief than I can say. Thank you awesome people!!
I haven't seen a thread on this, but yesterday afternoon Governor Rick Snyder finally rolled over and announced that my marriage, and that of 300+ other couples that occurred during last March's "marriage window" ARE VALID! He's not going to appeal any more. I'm so happy to FINALLY be married that I could cry with joy. WOOHOO!!
I agree, my friend. No more waiting around!
This is such awesome news!!! WOOHOO...and now we wait for the end of marriage inequality forever.
Pardon me for just a second - I AM SO HAPPY AND RELIEVED!!! I really AM married and could cry with joy. With my wife in the hospital now, the timing could not be better. I am confused about why there needs to be a stay, however. They seem so arbitrary lately, and this one only serves to extend unfairness to legally married couples.
Thanks everyone for sharing your Christmas plans, that was nice to read. I spent the holiday alone except for my dog, since my wife is in the hospital and most of my family has either disowned me or moved away. This was the loneliest, saddest Christmas of my life, and I wish better for all of us in 2015. Nationwide ME, here we come!
Just a curious note: "traurig" in German means SAD. That's what their actions are on this issue - sad and desperate.
Talk about someone swimming in white privilege - Sutton is so out of touch with the lived experiences of most of us that it's a cruel joke he is considered a jurist of integrity. He's a pompous asshat standing in the way of progress, and nothing more.
