Amen, Schrocks. I do not like how quiet some of the conservatives are. I do not like how they dance around calling out those who offend the Constitution. The Representatives are supposed to be our voice. I feel that we are screaming a lot louder than they are. WE NEED OPPOSITION!!!

I'll disagree. For the last two years with the democrats in control, we still had awful legislation. We will always fight for majorities in Congress no matter who is elected or not. With an educated population, the conservative/912'er would have 3/4 or more of both houses. But, Obama don't help! HA!

I just got through watching the HOUSE on CSPAN. The democrats are still spreading the following lies.

1. The republicans still favor tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. (OK Let's get a flat tax, that way everyone is equal.)
2. The republicans budget leaves out minorities and the elderly. (The Democratic budget enslaves both.)
3. We need to deal with the healthcare crisis. (There is no healthcare crisis.)
4. ...due to the lack of regulation of the last eight years. (This is too much regulation of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd on the housing market.)

We must education the population as to what the truth is.

Please try to understand. This movement needs to be about changing people. We need to change back into that morally good, civil society that is required. Society today is too dumb. They are led by media, TV, newspaper, or anybody that talks. They are not educated, nor do they have a foundation in faith. These are required for our Constitution to work.

We have to make sure WE THE PEOPLE are an educated and faithful people.

I like it. Of course, I would have written it differently, but I think everyone would write their own version. The point is that something is being done. Not by just you, but by everyone on this site. Read. Read. Read. Educate youself and your community. Change your life. Be that Patriot we want our elected officials to be. Start with yourselves. Continue with others. WE THE PEOPLE must change.

We have to be a group that puts the principles of the founders into practice in our daily lives. How do we change? Start local.
--We must be a virtuous and morally good people. Go to church. Understand the role of religion in society.
--Be a good citizen. Be active in your community.
--Educate yourself and those around you. Read. Study.
--Be the leader of your house, city block, and community. Educate others on the Constituion and the founders.
--Have discussion and debate. As small groups are created, spread out to other communities.
--But also, keep going with the websites and emails. These are good communication tools.
--Don't get hung up on politics. Anybody can criticize someone else. Have meaningful debate about the Constitution, Country, and the founders. Politics will be immaterial (and fall properly into place).

Nothing will compare to an educated, morally good people. We must change ourselves!

Term limits is only a quick bandaid. The real medication is educating yourselves, your family, and your community. Be a good person and a good neighbor. Help others do the same. Help the next community do the same. Pretty soon you will have an entire district full of educated, virtuous voters. After that, term limits won't matter.

I would say we should pay no tax to the federal government. The States should be responsible to fund the federal government based on an enumerated censes. The States would have the right to tax the people. However, this would bring federal politics to the local level as it should be. We would elect state officials who would lower our state taxes. The States should be able to appoint Senators again. This would return the appropriate a just powers back to the states and ultimately the people.

The "5000 Year Leap" is amazing. I have also bought the Federalist Papers, Common Sense, and Rediscovering God in America by Newt. These are all available for cheap at Amazon.

I have read a lot of comments about term limits, tea parties, marches, etc. All of these ideas are good and it is good to have open discussions. But I feel lead to start with a different approach. Our founders believe that we have to be a virtuous and morally good people for the country to survive.

We have to start with ourselves and our community. First, examine yourself and be that virtuous person with good morals. Practice what you preach. Know what you believe. Read. Learn. We need to talk to our neighbors and help them to become a part of the community. (No one will listen to you if you curse your neighbors.) Once you have a community group. Spread to the next community. Educate your community. Be a leader. With enough communities united, you can elect a proper Representitive to Congress and your state government.

This will go much further than a tea party, march, etc. Virtuous, educated communities are the fear of every politician.
