I meant by "the right", not that it gave you the right to spank because you are a parent, but it is a parents right or decision as to what form of discipline they choose to take, whether or not I personally would agree with that, and I know some people do not have sense enough to deal with their own children, no matter what form of discipline they choose, which if I got started on that would take up the whole paper. I truly believe children show respect  by being taught respect. I insist on good manners, and consideration for everyone. I also think sometimes some parents do not want to be bothered with teaching these things, it is a lot easier just to let them go, it is very hard work to do as you are, which is to teach them correctly and by doing so provide  them with the skills they need to cope in the world. I do not want someone at school deciding on whether or not to use corporal punishment.

This should have been revised long ago. If a child is causing a problem severe enough that it was an ofense in the guidelines for corporal punishment, call the parents, find out what the problem is, deal with the situation, hopefully they will be contacted before it reaches this point, and if the parents wish to use spanking when they get home it is their right.

This is just a little too much for me for things kids need to be trying. Get her a chamber pot like in the old days and stick it under the bed. No fluids after 6pm, or anything. I would be a little wild on this one I am afraid, well past my limit. I used to work at a group home, and when one of the women was mad at the other one, she would go in her enemiescloset, get her purse and pee in it., and stick it back in the closet to be discovered later. T hought that was the most ceative method of revenge I have ever heard of,always wondered how she thought that one up.

I think Marijuana should be legalized, taxed and available to anyone over the age of 21. Legalization would stop not only the spending of millions to fight illegal drug sellers, but woud bring multimillions of dollars into the governments for the use of much needed programs. Not legalizing marijuana is a losing proposition, that certianly has been proven. Regulate the growing of crops, and the selling of marijuana. Less crime, less jail overcrowding, and milions coming into the government instead of going out of taxpayers pockets to fight all kinds of crimes associated with the sellinng of an illegal substance. Make new very strict laws for those who still want to sell the drug illegally, though with it being legalized, grown safely, and sold much cheaper, the market for buying from dealers would dry up.

Good luck, get people out to vote, or no one has a chance, because those in office automatically start off with the votes of the Chamber of Commerce members. It would take a completely new council and mayor to ever get thme out of Murdocks control.

Let me tell you, there is a lot of difference in doing something this hard at 20 then at 55. I know everyone is very proud of her and they all should be, must take a lot of determination. Congratulations

What a great family, and an example for all of us.

I saw the father interviewed on GMAmerica, and I never saw such stalling and trying to make an answer sound good as the father was doing. Obvious hoax and he should have had to repay the cost of the search.
