As opposed to our current activist liberal judges 'sticking it to the man' by awarding millions to some dimwit because the security at her apartment complex was lax, while the lease agreement states the property does not provide security?

True enough, but I suffered through one as a gesture of support for them pulling the advertising.

Wrong, I salute those Republicans who fought against Obamacare, hell, I salute the Democrats who opposed it. they may have lost but they faced the music, obeyed the rules, and did their damn job.

Until they complete the re-edukation fo Texas publik skool graduates so thay all believe it were Republikans what did it.

However, the way Texas school boards are shaping up it may take awhile.

As I understand it it isn't about Democrat / Republican, they have to have a minimum of 20 votes to be valid and there are only 19 Senators willing to do their jobs. They just happen to be all the Republicans in office.

Shame on all of you for falling for the straw man. Look at every example of who we want to keep out of the country: the drug dealers, the rapists, murderers, human traffickers.... There is no one on the planet that can argue we should let them have a free pass and so they trot out the poor innocent victim of economic hardship just looking for a chance to support his family and you fall for it every time. You can't win fighting that position.

Look at the facts, we have had... 7? amnesties since 1965 or so. Every time we give those here illegally a pass it is followed by “and we will secure our border!” “and we will penalize companies who hire illegal aliens!” “and we will build a fence!”. Blah blah, blah. Always giving out the goodies without doing the work to solve the problem of improving the legal means of entry. That is the fault of politicians.

Look, you get busted selling drugs and you're here illegally? Jail and deport.
Drive drunk and possibly kill someone? No drivers license or insurance? Here illegally? Jail and deport.
If you're here just doing what work you can get, not dealing drugs, no rapes, no murders, no child prostitution rings, nothing like that. Sure, step up do all the legal stuff and get your card but only after we do something about the gaping holes in our borders.

Note to our politicians: We are tired of giving away the candy store. Enforce the laws, stop the criminals at the border, and reasonable people can discuss terms of amnesty. It is a shame that the futures of so many people are being held hostage to secure your voting block. Do the things you have already promised to do. What your oath of office requires you to do. Protect and defend.

Note to everyone else: Keep your eye on the prize, secure the border. Never let them drag you off the topic of stopping the criminal element at the border and improving the legal entry options.

Don't be afraid of the numbers, remember the cutbacks at the big 3. Just look at the ratings numbers across cable news, everyone but FOX is pathetic. Newspapers are losing their value even as fish wrappers.

A lot of people have developed their own BS detectors over the last few years, more and more every day. More importantly more and more people are calling BS on those MSM 'news' sources every day.

Has no one read the bill?

1.First of all it outlaws these sanctuary cities. No podunk Mayor can decide not to allow enforcement of federal immigration laws.
2.State law enforcement can kick unidentified persons over to ICE. That still requires “Lawful Contact” so if you're stopped for speeding, running a red light or get pulled over for a broken taillight and can't produce a valid drivers license (which you are REQUIRED to carry while operating a motor vehicle anyway) you may end up trying to convince immigration officers you are a legal resident.
3.Employers are put in the hot seat to keep an employees valid id on file and make sure it is valid before hiring someone.

All this talk of racial profiling, stopping brown skinned people on the street, demanding “papers” is pure B.S. It still requires “Lawful Contact” first and those examples given are not Lawful Contact. Period. The Leftists are fear-mongering hardcore and they will get away with it unless some hard reasoned push back starts now.

All of this is really beside the point anyway, the main justification for enforcing border security is safety.

You really think all those people south of the border beheading each other, bombing police stations, gunning down law enforcement in the streets are doing it for a job at Denny's? Really?

Illegal Immigration does damage the economy and social services, and it is a serious problem in and of itself but focusing on that alone is like arguing about the paint color in the living room while your house burns down. There are more serious problems at the moment.

You want to stop the violence, the murders, the armed incursions into this country? You got 2 options.

Make everything legal... And I mean everything! Pot, coke, meth, heroin, the whole shebang. BUT, if you go that route you gotta be prepared to step over every dead junkie in the streets, cause there's no way you can pay all of the ER visits that would be required to save them. Do that and the turf wars on the border will settle down.

OR...

GET SERIOUS ABOUT THE BORDER! Crack down hard on the smuggling routes, both into and out of our country. The bleeding heart libs don't like some of our guns ending up in Mexico? Patrol the border and stop them. State has a budget problem? Seize some of that drug cash. I don't really care what motivation people latch onto to get it done, just do it.

All those unregistered democrat voters can clamor at the gates for a better guest worker system or faster immigration processing.
