Legally the check could only go to Chris's estate anyway, unless she had legal written proof, such as a will or trust, that she was that sole heir. The only way Sytch could do anything with it was if she was declared the executor of his estate. This is another reason one should never sign off on jointly with their girlfriend or boyfriend. Tammy was in a really crappy position, but TNA made a reasonable judgement call.
"They" are not Hogan, Bischoff, and Jarrett, but Eric Bischoff and his much valued Focus Groups. They'll come in and start booking even lousier recycled shows and angles, all on camera, telling the fans that they have no clue that they're out of touch and have no clue what brings in high ratings.
Or it could be a surprise invasion by Hornswaggle and Santino Marella.
I think I'd actually prefer the latter.
Sounds like it could be a good deal for her. She can show up at a TV taping once every other month to put The Beautiful People over like the few "knockouts" left in TNA do, thereby staying prominent in the wrestling business while having plenty of time to pursue her career in the music industry. I hope it all works out for the best for her.
The article states that the problem is that some of the guys who aren't getting cleared for bookings aren't getting booked on the TNA dates they're supposedly supposed to be working at that time, either. How would you like it if your boss told you "I won't have any work for ya for a few months, but I won't let you go to work for someone else in the mean time."?
If this is true, then obviously the "frustration" goes way beyond ego and who's putting who over, as the bureaucracy involved with the TNA contract directly directly interferes with them trying to make a decent living. No wonder Homicide and the more prominent Knockouts wanted out!
This is most likely a result of certain ECW guys "partying" the weekend of the Hardcore Justice PPV.
Going live every week will costs a ton of money. I'm only making a wild guess here, but I'd say the only way TNA will be able to go live every week is if Spike pays for it, which will put considerably more pressure on the company to do better numbers in the ratings. As long as Bischoff, Russo, and Hogan are the booking committee, I just don't see them doing more than a 1.3-1.4 average. I still think Dixie's "big changes" will be the company taking Impact out of Universal Studios and out on the road on a permanent basis. Makes much more sense since the house show attendance has been steadily climbing.
The "EV2" guys are doing a good job of putting Fortune over as a strong force to be reckoned with. You can't say that Hogan did that with Abyss or Hall and Nash did that with- well, anybody when they were brought in. RVD and hardy already had a following amongst non-TNA fans to expose to the product, AND to the long-time TNA guys who are most likely the ones bitching. The overall booking has been spotty at best, lousy at worst. If the complainers want to blame anyone they should look to the guys booking crap like Jarrett flipping hamburgers and cleaning bathrooms, Samoa Joe being "kidnapped" with no explanation whatsoever, or the lackluster reveal that Abyss's "They" is Fortune, a group that was already there because they weren't clever enough to come up with anything else after the EV2 plans changed!
I wonder if they throw names in a hat in the back at TNA and the one drawn has to announce an upcoming "big announcement" on Twitter, without there actually being one. Five-to-one on JB announcing next month that he'll "soon make a big announcement."
Sounds like RVD is falling into that same mentality of "The younger guys need to step up" when the reality is that the booking won't give them a chance. RVD and Jeff Hardy have already made names for themselves in other promotions that were knopwn well enough so they basicly came in as "rock stars". RVD is right about one thing, the AJ Styles and Samoa Joes of TNA need to realize its about getting the company more exposure, and RVD and Hardy are doing that. Its just that the TNA execs and so-called "creative" team need to start booking in a consistent way that actually utilizes these younger guys well.
I say Keep RVD and Hardy. Ditch Bischoff, move Russo into another job, Use Hogan as a spokesperson only and get Heyman or someone with a similar vision in there who knows how to book.
