Hey there gTex -
This is what happened in the early days if the third reich. It was encouraged by those in power. It lead to unfounded accusations perpetrated by someone who had a beef with someone else. They would essentially call and report a false claim against someone...anyone, and that victim was in hot water.
What is happening now, here in the United States today appears to be the beginnings of this mentality.
Here are some examples...
1. I saw a commercial about reporting child abuse if you even suspect it.
2. An energy commercial letting youngsters know it is okay, and encouraged to snitch on those who are not using energy wisely
3. Here in Texas there was a program just passed that allows people to call in and report individuals littering.
No fines, or legal action is supposed to be taken, just a letter and a trash bag will be sent to the "alleged" offender.
With #1 & #3 I find nothing in them by themselves terrible. If I saw someone abusing a child, or signs of abuse, I WOULD place the call on principle alone.
I wouldn't report someone flicking a cigarette out of their car, but if I saw someone dumping trash on an abandoned backroad, I probably would...again on my own, on principle.
My point is this...these three examples that have been presented as public service announcements, in my humble opinion, appear to be intended to train the public to be the eyes and ears of the coming establishment.

Trust in the fact that they DID indeed receive them. I got an automatic response from one of my U.S. Senators.
but nothing from the other. My representative hasn't responded to these letters, but has responded to many other contacts on FaceBook.
Even if they do not respond, rest assured they are seeing them. Keep passing this link to everyone you know.

Although I don't know him much, Romney seems to have a large following at this point.
I personally like Alan Keyes, and Ron Paul, Sarah Palin, and John Boehner.

That would the the District of Columbia, and they'd be forced to stay there. and all of us would ACTUALLY enforce our immigration laws, so they'd be stuck.
