Pretty sure icloveland really wants everyone to know who he is. And knowing that should warn everyone to ignore his statements and so-called facts. Sorry Liam but you've been busted.

I just posted this under Jody McNally's LTE which appeared yesterday,but I will post it again here: A commenter said the facts cannot be refuted that the public education system is failing. Here's my response to that commenter:

Those "facts" are totally refuted by Diane Ravitch and her two most recent books: " Reign of Error: The Hoax of the Privatization Movement and the Danger to America's Public Schools and The Death" and "Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education". You should read them. You should also watch a movie by Brian Malone called "The Reformers" which is a documentary on the adverse effects the reform board in Douglas County has had. It's an eye-opener!

Carlson is trying hard to improve his image and that of the reform members. Remember that "Call to Action" the Larimer County Republican party put out right before the February 19th regular meeting? Members were told to "bring their video cameras". Why? Intimidation? Carlson was also listed on the Larimer County Republican website as "Bonus Member" the day of the meeting. He produced an email which stated he had resigned 8 hours earlier. Let's not forgot all the billionaire's money from Ed McVaney $5000 and Ralph Nagel $2000 Carlson reported in the waning days of the campaign. He ended up with a total of $12,000 in contributions way more than any candidate. Not illegal but it does raise eyebrows. Saw all that on TSDReformwatch a while back and looked it up for myself.

I'm extremely concerned about this sentence: "Third, we have a tremendous opportunity this spring and summer to rethink the way that we organize our central administration." After having read a lot about Falcon School District and their inability to maintain superintendents, Brad Miller et all instituted some sort of "shared responsibility" with staff reporting directly to the board for supervision. I don't understand it yet, but it sounds like a bad deal and a way for Miller and BOE there to have more control.

Last night Reform Watch posted legally obtained CORA requests submitted by Nancy Rumfelt and Mike Hausmann's responses. I hope you read those documents because you might learn something. I believe in CORA, especially when I read documents like these! On another note, while I don't know Jody McNally personally, I have heard many good things about her. I am convinced she decided on making the CORA requests all on her own. I hear she's a very smart lady!

So icloveland says I should do some research on public education. I have! I could give ic dozens and dozens of links about the lie that public education is failing. I guess icloveland gets all his/her info from Liberty Watch which is as we know now false and misleading.

I was just reading TSDreformwatch on Facebook. I see that Jody McNally is one of the best volunteers in the district. The fact the she revealed the cost involved with all the CORA requests is not only courageous on her part but is totally valid. Her Open Forum letter and all the Rumfelt's comments which follow here have proven that they really don't understand the true nature and ramifications of requesting documents and requests. CORA is a great law but Rumfelt clearly does not grasp what is involved when the district responds.

You and your website certainly don't represent both sides. People have wised up to you, LW and others and now will question everything you say. Rumfelt's assertion that Mike Hausmann gives out false and misleading information is a blatantly distorted.
