It appears according to the study that a married couple of the age of 18 or 19 are unhealthy if they decide to have a child..... that is outrageous!

That is an opinion not a fact, its not based on medical records but on personal opinions of well being.

Interesting argument about the numbers of women dieing in child birth I thought it was due to lack of proper medical care. I think the advancements in medical facilities and better trained doctors have much to do with it. Woman have been giving birth for thousands of years but not until recently have we been able to save such a large percentage though c sections and neonatal intensive care.
I doubt 18 and 19 year olds (still teens included statistically) have adolescent bodies.
If it were not for such a negative stigma teens would not have to be afraid to tell their parents. STD's were in another statistic, and not part of the teens giving birth statistic, also not related.
My point was that the way the data was collected and compiled does not make for good statistics, due to the discrepancies I have posted.

Opinion is not fact! Using a survey does not make one county more healthy than another, People in one county might "REPORT" that they are doing great, and the next county more report that they feel bad. Using medical records such as with the STD's is fact. However I don't understand how teen births could be misconstrued as "unhealthy"? What's wrong with being 19 and having a baby? Compared to what? The older you get the more likely your offspring will have a debilitating genetic disease.
