Sticking money into that pit is a waste. Place is a dump - new paint, new floor and a deck can't save it. The mostly family run employees are not doing it any favors. Most of the loyal patrons remember Ike as President. Food - you either love it or hate it. The old guy behind the bar flirts with the high school age hostesses (creepy). Face it, they've been a poorly run business for the last decade and couldn't compete with other newer restaurants in the area. And now they want a government handout to save the business. Money better spent elsewhere.

Both times I witnessed incidents with "fighting words" tickets, the BPD only charged the "instigator" which doesn't mean that is the policy but it does make it look like if it isn't a complete beat-down, just a push or a punch thrown, the police will look the other way on the assault.

No - this statute allows physical violence - many times the person who was taunted or insulted was not given a ticket or arrested if they assault the "fighting words" initiator. I've seen it happen twice. If you can punch me in the mouth because I called you a "stupid white trash baby raper" and I get the ticket - why should that stay on the books?
