Sometimes I wonder how grateful would we would be if China or Russia came here and liberated / ravaged us for 8 years straight.

That's exactly correct.

Surely you jest... This is not true at all. Not even close. Think about how many Mom and Pop operations were destroyed by Wal-Mart. That's just a single example of how the super rich work. For every person who's hired by Wal-Mart at minimum wage, a mom and pop op went out of business. The combined profits of all those family businesses are all consolidated by a very few rich elite instead of being distributed throughout thousands upon thousands of of families. So instead of making 150k+/yr they've all been denoted to 25k/yr.

What's worse is that it doesn't stay competitive as was intended. These large conglomerates take out their competition using some very underhanded methods. They'll sick every inspector you could imagine, spend thousands digging through records looking for some kind of technicality that they can use to have them shut down or sell out. Most of those inspectors are on their payroll to some extent.

These people didn't give you a job. What they did was use you to make themselves more rich while throwing you down the stale bread crumbs that you so grateful groveled for. How do you think they got all that wealth? You made it for them. You drove the nails, installed the electrical and plumbing, you manned the stores, counted their money, etc... Most of you have never met your true owners. In fact, you can't even drive into their neighborhoods.

If anything, more jobs will come out of it because they need to reclaim their wealth and they can't do that without the serfs who are willing to settle.

Hard to feel sorry for someone who can lose more in a year then you'll see in your whole life, and still be much better off then you and any 100 of your friends combined. Don't ask me to shed tears for a 3 person family unit having to downsize from a 50 bedroom mansion to a 20 bedroom mansion.

Congratulations, that's quite possibly one of the stupidest things I have ever read.

These fatality rates are rather trivial compared to the other fatality rates caused by the illegal immigrants.

You're willing to accept a weather prediction for 20 years from now by the same people who can't accurately predict tomorrow's weather? From the same people who are blocking a former science advisor to the prime minister from testifying against this in congress?

/sigh - How easily some of those amongst us allow themselves to be ruled and controlled.
